a) At midnight: I was enjoying a sound sleep when a t about midnight. I heard loud noise of fire fire. I was started to hear the noise and sat on mu bed i tried to listen and find the direction the noise was coming from. But i could not so, i came down in the street to know.
b) I reach the Spot: I saw some people running i also began to run with them. At last we came to the house which had caught fire. I was dumb stricken to see that it was my friend Salim's house.
c)A Child is left Inside: Salim's father was lying half dead while his mother was crying " I have left my child inside. He will be roasted alive. For God's sake save my baby". No one was ready to risk one's life and go into the flames. A brave scout offered himself and went inside. Every body thought that he would be burnt to ashes. Then he appeared from a window with the child in his arms. He jumped down quite safe and sound. Every one expected his brave effort.
d) Efforts to control the Fire: In the mean time all were putting down the fire. Some were throwing dust on it. Some were throwing water with palls or what over they could get some were dragging the luggage out. The fire brigade also reached. It began to put heavy showers of water on the fire. After three hours struggle the fire came under control. But all the house was completely burns with every thing in this part.
e) Loss: It is all good luck that there was no loss of life but a loss of two lac rupees was estimated.
