8 Developer Preview and Windows virtualization software

Microsoft devotes an entire post 8 Building Windows the ability to install Windows Developer Preview 8 within a virtual machine. The argument has been ignored until now by the Redmond, even though the use of virtualization in software development is not an uncommon practice. Indeed, Microsoft itself points out how when one third of the installations of Windows Developer Preview 8 are implemented on the virtual machine.
The developers, however, invite caution in judging and simply try the new operating system in the virtualized environment only: guaranteed benefits, responsiveness and smoothness of the interface graphics are often placed in difficulty by limitations related to running as Guest OS right. By having a system to be dedicated to Windows 8 is therefore recommended that a clean install of the operating system, possibly in multi-boot.

For those who want to pursue the path of virtualization of Microsoft in the post the following programs are suggested:

Hyper-V in Windows Developer Preview 8
Hyper-V in Windows Server 2008 R2
VM ware Workstation 8.0 for Windows
Virtual Box 4.1.2 for Windows

The above list has been built not by direct evidence of Microsoft, but rather by collecting feedback from users who have already installed Windows 8. In the case of Virtual Box can confirm having used for some tests in a direct way. There are other consumer software that currently does not offer the ability to run Windows virtualized 8, the list indicated that Microsoft is as follows: Microsoft Virtual PC, Microsoft Virtual Server (all versions), Windows 7 XP Mode, VM Ware Workstation 7.x and earlier.
It is likely that in the coming weeks for updates to be released virtualization software that does not allow the proper use of Windows 8. For those who had not yet tried Windows Developer Preview 8 point out that the download link, and this article about Virtual Box virtual machine to create your own test.
