Available Google Earth 6.1 with new controls in Street View

For several days there is a new release of Google Earth, now in version 6.1. The news is reported by the blog dedicated to the official Google services "Map" and Peter Birch, Google Earth Product Manager, presents the main changes introduced.

The first innovation made in this version of Google Earth covers the panel My Place, which collects links to routes, places deemed interesting by the user, or other items you want to keep for any future views. In the new version of the software are available some tools to better manage this information: you can manage this data by type, or alphabetical list. There is also a search box dedicated to the information in "My Places" which is very useful in cases where there are a large number of elements.


Were also improved the controls for the Street View feature, especially with the improved zoom functionality. But not only does Google Earth 6.1 is virtually possible to move from one place to another with a single click in MODL Street View.

For users of Pro versions of Google Earth have been improved printing capabilities with the ability to insert an indication of the scale and direction of the North. In addition, the mechanics of measuring paths are now better integrated with elevation profiles.
