Bulldozer processors in the fourth quarter of 2011

John Fruehe, Director of Product Marketing for Server, and Embedded AMD Fire Stream products, confirmed indirectly in this post that the blog's official debut of the Option architecture-based solutions Interlagos architecture with up to 16 cores, depending on the versions to pass in the fourth quarter of 2011.

We expect to be launching "Interlagos" in Q4, a little later than we had hoped, but still in time for server deployments in 2011

Some days ago the U.S. Company confirmed that it has begun marketing revenues for the first sample processor Interlagos: This is not engineering samples and final samples. This announcement follows several weeks in a kind of official announcement of the sale, which in this case is to be expected during the next quarter with the involvement of partner manufacturers of server systems.

Fruehe confirmed in a comment to the blog post, as for architecture-based desktop solutions Bulldozer debut is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2011:

Interlagos is a server part, There Is No desktop variant. Bulldozer is the client version of the Zambezi and it will launch in Q4.

Consequently, they fall with respect to the information previously provided, which indicated a date of official presentation during the month of September. Evidently this was the initial estimate of AMD: Some additional internal delays have in fact forced to move this event a few weeks going into the fourth quarter.
