Intel confirms the attention to the brand Atom

Away from the Intel Atom brand? This indiscretion, revealed last week that we reported this news, suggests that Intel will abandon the brand from the debut of the next generation architecture, known by the codename of Cedar Trail.

Director of Marketing for Strategy and Brand Management and responsible for managing Intel's Atom brand, has confirmed its intention to Intel to continue to develop the brand for 2012 and subsequent years

Despite the impressions so that they see the brand Atom perceived as synonymous with reduced processing power, Intel intends to continue to offer this type of solutions to their audience convinced of the value that this represents not just in computing but also with reference to traditional solutions for consumer electronics.

At the last Intel Developer Forum, held 2 weeks ago in San Francisco, Intel has outlined its development strategy for the next generation of CPUs. The trend emerged is that of a progressive convergence between Atom and Core architectures, starting in the first place by the use of production technology that is common. Until now, the Atom solutions have always been those who have benefited from a more sophisticated production technology after Core proposals, in some cases even with sensitive timing differences.
