Nikon D3100, D5100, D7000: number of sisters
Choosing a Digital SLR is the time of a business which can be quite complicated: not only different brands offering similar products in features, but also in the same house are many overlaps between the technical specifications of the cameras. In this article we wanted to compare the latest proposals for entry level and mid-range (for a few prosumer), Nikon, thanks to the combination of events that allowed us to have on hand three models almost simultaneously for a few hours, the time to bring them to the laboratory for analysis of the shots that usually make up our reviews.
Our attention was therefore focused on Nikon D3100, D5100 and D7000, which are available on the market for about 400 euros to just under nine hundred euros segmented as entry level, advanced entry level, midrange / prosumer. The moment you consider buying a camera also the previous generations, or are new on the used market, come into play: some considerations for this reason we also included models Nikon D90 and D80, the real best seller mid-range.
The reasons for choosing a camera does not come only in respect of image quality, but also take into consideration issues such as ergonomics, ease of use, completeness of the controls and advanced features. From this point of view, Nikon has differentiated into an easily understandable way the three models that represent the last generation, directing each model to an audience quite accurate.
