With Google Goggles 1.6 new possibilities in mobile search

The blog gives an interesting new feature of Google Mobile on Google Goggles dedicated service to owners of Android terminals. With the new version 1.6 Goggles can be processed in the background all the images taken with the camera terminal, and if the procedure returns the results intersecting the user is notified.
This may come in handy while traveling, for example on a visit to a city of art, framing and taking a photograph of a monument should have access to a considerable amount of additional information. Another situation concerns the potentially convenient scanning of bar codes while visiting shops and malls: Goggles with 1.6 you could access the features and exhibits, or you can estimate the sale price at other retail chains.

The option must be enabled manually by accessing the Settings panel and selecting Search from Camera (Menu> Settings> Search from Camera). The search operation in the background and only if the results appear relevant to you a notification. We did a test with a terminal available in the newsroom: framing a mouse on the desktop and we took a picture every few seconds we received notification from Goggles detected in the image that had the presence of the Microsoft logo.

From the first comments is available on the official pointed out that after all the images taken are to be transferred to Google's servers and then processed, could not be otherwise, considering the amount of data to analyze and rid otter resources of a mobile terminal. This detail, however, raises some eyebrows on the face of privacy; or rather the user requires more attention in their time of turning this option only where it becomes really necessary.
