TechRadar has drawn up a list of 12 applications free of charge for upgrading
Windows 7.
These include:
EnhanceMySe7en - almost all the tweaks available in one package
SmartDefrag - keeps you fit the hard drive, working in the background
LogonStudio - Change the splash screen
Sysinternals on TechNet - diagnose, manage and troubleshoot Windows
Notepad + + - notepad, but even more
The software listed have not been tested by myself. If you decide to use them at your own risk. Experiment, but with caution.
