Made the jump from single core to dual-core, LG and HTC have decided to further raise the bar of the hardware equipment of its leading solutions by providing them the ability to capture and share content to play three dimensions. This is how LG and HTC EVO Optimus 3D 3D.
Introduction
During the last Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona last February, two of the manufacturers protagonists, although for different reasons, were surely LG and HTC. The Korean company was in fact the center of attention for the official announcement of two solutions in particular, or Dual Optimus, one of the first terminals with dual-core processor and Optimus 3D, the first mobile device with a display capable of capturing and view media files in three dimensions, all without glasses.
On the contrary, HTC, although well presented 5 new smartphone and the first 7-inch tablet interface Sense, had been criticized in a number large enough because of the few novelties contained in the technical solutions announced. All 5 smartphones even wore it as a dowry a single core processor, by which time the trend of the market have led to at least one solution in the dual-core product portfolio.
Perhaps spurred by these accusations, the Taiwanese company has not hesitated to play so well and the two most valuable cards in the months to come so they made their debut Sensation HTC and HTC EVO 3D object with the above review of the LG 3D Optimus today.
Despite the head start of a presentation took place a few weeks ahead for the LG solution, due to some delays in the production end of the Korean launch in the international market took place almost simultaneously. Optimus 3D and 3D EVO can then play their own challenge on equal terms.
Technical
Both devices bring with them a dual core processor, although of a different production. HTC EVO 3D is in fact based on a production platform Qualcomm MSM8620 a Snapdragon (Qualcomm Scorpion ARMv7 architecture-based) operating at 1.2 GHz frequency per core. LG Optimus 3D mounted instead of a solution TI OMAP 4430 (ARM Cortex A9) to 1 GHz frequency. Both processors are supported by a dedicated graphics card: Adreno 220 HTC EVO 3D PowerVR SGX 540 3D Optimus LG. We point out that LG 3D Optimus is the first smartphone to take advantage of dual channel technology that allows a better exchange of information between the processor and RAM memory, thus speeding up calculations.
The amounts to 512 MB RAM for the LG solution and 1 GB for the HTC. The dedicated memory storage is instead an additional 1 GB for 3D and salt instead EVO 8 GB (of which 5.5 are available) for 3D Optimus. Both for the one that the other solution for the internal memory is expandable via microSD memory cards, one with a cut of 8 GB memory bundle deals.
