Battlefield 3: Multiplayer mode, new footage coming and beta (PC, Xbox 360, PS3)

DICE has updated the blog for Battlefield 3 with the eleventh post that clarifies the characteristics of the various multiplayer shooter waited for October 28th. Compared to previous installments of the series, Battlefield 3 has a wider list of rules, designed to ensure more variety. There are, in fact, 5 modes, playable in all 9 maps in the game, which allows for 45 different multiplayer experiences to choose from.

Team Death match
Players: 24 (12 vs. 12).
Focus: Infantry Combat team
Purpose: Delete a set number of enemy fighters
As you win: The team that reaches the number of killings for the first set is the winner

Team Death match is a real classic when it comes to multiplayer, and has made its appearance in a game in the Battlefield series to the original Battlefield 1942. In Team Death match two teams of 12 players move in tight maps with a defined focus on the infantry - there are no vehicles in Team Death match. For those who want fast action and immediate, this is the perfect mode. For new players of Battlefield, is a good place to start.

Squad Death match
Players: 16 (4 teams of 4)
Focus: Infantry Combat Team
Purpose: Delete a set number of enemy fighters
As you win: The team that reaches the number of killings for the first set is the winner

The Squad Death match is a wider variety of dynamic death match, which also includes anti-infantry vehicles (IFV). The IFV can be decisive to break a deadlock, if it is supported by a solid game of Engineers. The setting to 4 teams means that there is a constant battle throughout the game to get and keep the advantage. Stay united, always keep the team prepared, supplied, repaired, and are the keys to victory.

Rush
Players: 24/32 (Console / PC)
Focus: Total War objectives
Purpose: Attacking / Defending stations M-COM
How to win: By destroying all the stations M-COM/Esaurendo opponents respawn (Strikers / Defenders)

Introduced for the first time in Battlefield Bad Company, Rush has entered the heart of the Battlefield series with 3. An objective-based mode, the attackers have to arm and detonate the COM-M pairs of stations in each area of the map to unlock the next area and the following pair of M-COM stations. While the defenders have unlimited respawns, the attackers will get new ones just whenever you destroy a pair of M-COM. If all the stations on the map are destroyed, the attackers are the winners. If the defenders respawn reduce to zero (killing), the defenders get the victory.

As a mode of total war, Rush is characterized by a variety of settings for specific vehicles and the peculiarities of the landscape map. Players can find all types of vehicles in maps Rush, including transport vehicles, armored ones, of course, helicopters and jets.

He says he reviewed the balance of play Rush based on feedback received from the community on Battlefield Bad Company 2. These are the main novelties introduced by Rush about Battlefield 3: you can not use explosives or shoot the M-COM to destroy them, but only disarm and arm them, and if the team in attack weapon, the M-COM but the spawn ends, the match will continue until the M-COM explodes or disarm the defenders, if the defenders begin to disarm a COM-M an instant before it explodes, the explosion is blocked until disarmament has taken place and the defender is killed during the process disarmament, the M-COM will explode instantly.

Rush Squad
Players: 8 (4 vs. 4).
Focus: Infantry Combat Team
Purpose: Attacking / Defending stations M-COM
How to win: By destroying all the stations M-COM/Esaurendo opponents respawn (Strikers / Defenders)

Squad Rush is an extremely tight battle between two teams that takes the basic rules by Rush normal, but in a narrower context. In Squad Rush, there are only two bases with one station for each M-COM, which means that each outlet or COM-M Squad Rush defense is vital for victory or defeat in the game. There are no vehicles in rush Squad, so it all depends on infantry combat.

To succeed it is essential to personalize the soldiers to be complementary in the field, in order to continue to rebuild the fallen comrades, provide ammunition and perform other basic actions. Squad Rush is often preferred by players who know deep in their styles of play and want to show their skills in combat scenarios more personal.

Conquest
Players: 16-24/16-64 (Console / PC)
Focus: Total War objectives
Purpose: To capture and hold flags
How to win: running out of opponents respawn

Conquest is the classic game mode for Battlefield. Introduced in Battlefield 1942, Conquest has defined the entire series of Battlefield games and influenced many others in circulation. In Conquest, both teams are fighting for control of a number of flags, trying to be the dominant force in the vicinity of each base. Capture and maintain control of as many flags allow you to spend the opposing team respawn. The first team ends up losing them.

Conquest is a strategic and tactical game which will require making important decisions: the forces are rarely so large to capture and defend each base on the map, so the in-game communication and responsiveness are needed to win. "Of all the methods invented by DICE, Conquest will always have a special place in our hearts," read the blog.

For those who do not want to play with vehicles DICE offers the possibility to filter the matches in your browser and get the list of games "infantry only" . With the setting Hardcore Mode also be played without any help of the game. You can play in hardcore mode in any type of regular play. Doing so will make match much more studied and tactics, as the penalty for carelessness will be much higher. Many players prefer the Hardcore Mode, because they have flanking and ambushes make a lot more, or for a greater sense of immersion and authenticity that is obtained by removing the user interface.
