Nintendo 3DS: sales grew by 260% after price cut (DS)

Nintendo has sold 50,000 units in North America, Nintendo 3DS 1 to 12 August and 185,000 units in the remaining days of August. The price reduction was announced, Nintendo 3DS after verification of operating losses to 37.7 billion yen in the first quarter of fiscal Nintendo over the same period last year the losses amounted to 23.3 billion yen.

According to Bloomberg Japan, Nintendo sells its portable console at a loss after the price reduction.
