To test the autonomy of the Samsung Series 5 we used the procedure carried out internally at Digital Spy, which provides continuous Web browsing through Wi-Fi network. During the test session are displayed pages containing some videos from YouTube distributed to alternate with other traditional web content, performing an automatic scroll. To make the test more realistic level of brightness of the display was set to 60nits about inserting some breaks during the test.
The result is therefore an estimate of operating autonomy Chromebook in a usage scenario that mimics the one to which you will typically encounter, avoiding the extremes of some specific benchmarks for the battery that pose little or no emphasis on the interrelationship between the device and the web for the use of data.
For this test we publish as a comparison the same results obtained in previous tests conducted on various netbooks and notebooks, the graph shows the names of the various models compared with the detailed technical specifications of the supplied battery pack. In the case of the Samsung Series 5 we are dealing with a solution of lithium polymer 8200mAh 61Wh 7.4 V @.
The autonomy measure on the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook nearly 8 hours of consecutive use, a very interesting result. The test was conducted with display brightness set to the value closest to the reference of 60 nits.
