Windows 8, the first contact, first impressions

During the morning we downloaded a preview of Windows 8, available from Microsoft after the official press conference. Curiosity led us to install it and try it immediately. The installation procedure does not differ from that which we find today in Windows 7: a few simple steps the operating system is installed on a PC.

In the video below shows our first contact with the new operating system from Microsoft, the interaction with the interface Metro and the main functions that can exploit.




As we have emphasized in the video, the first contact of this particularly affects the speed of execution showed that the operating system to ensure: each application is started in no time. In our case we installed the operating system on our test platform for the VGA. These technical specifications:

Processor: Intel Core i7 Extreme 975, clocked at 3.73 GHz range on increase of frequency multiplier up to 28x;

RAM: 3x2 G bytes Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D; clock frequency 1,600 MHz with 9-9-9-20 1T timings equal to;

Hard drive: 240GB Crucial M4;
Motherboard: MSI Eclipse SLI X58 chipset;

Power: 1,100 Watts to Power

The brand Microsoft still leaves the sign, installed in the morning; early afternoon in Windows 8 has already been welcomed, as evidenced by the image below:

The Windows Update Service has already identified 8 9 useful updates for the operating system. Good morning starts in the morning?
