LG 3D Optimus vs. HTC EVO 3D Analysis of the display

LG is the solution that the HTC bring with them an LCD display 4.3-inch diagonal, which, although not qualitatively the same solutions as the most renowned Super Plus AMOLED Display by Samsung or Sony Ericsson Reality, though not disfigure too compared with these solutions.

Regarding the resolution, as mentioned earlier, the HTC 3D EVO with its 960x540 pixels is more defined than Optimus 3D offers a resolution equivalent to more standard 800x480 pixels. The differences are not so obvious and can be noticed only by observing closely the two solutions. Of course, as mentioned above, due to the increased resolution, on some occasions EVO 3D allows, for the same area, to display more information, thus preventing the user scroll the page continuously. On the other hand, a higher resolution also means a smaller character that in some cases (especially in case of web pages are not optimized for mobile devices) may be complicated to discern.

The analysis of the two displays by measuring colorimetrically the same shows in general good fidelity to the HDTV standard. Surprising in particular the graph obtained from the analysis of the display of LG 3D Optimus offers almost total coverage of the reference area, marking also coordinate values of the primary colors are very close to those defined by the standard. The HTC EVO 3D graphics, though less precise than in the LG solution shows a good coverage and a white point close enough to the reference.

As for the visibility to the different conditions of light, we can say that the brightness of both solutions is strong enough to ensure good readability in both internal, of course, in case of light virtually nothing in the event of exposure to artificial light sources . Referring instead to the vision in both terminals suffer from external exposure to direct sunlight. Despite this, the display remains, albeit with much effort in, still readable.
